Secret Strategy #3: Work Your Business Like a Business and Stay Committed For the Long Haul of the Journey
The first 3 years of building my network marketing business I was so serious, so committed that even though I only had 3 team members in my group- I never gave up. I often wonder WHY! Why didn’t I quit? I mean I was borrowing money to pay bills, I was paying utility costs with my credit cards, things were BAAAAAADDDD!! I remember going to bed at night and thinking to myself, “Will I really ever make it?” and I’d get up the next morning and do it all over again. Thank God I changed the program and I did some new things! I eventually got some great mentoring and coaching from several millionaires in a lot of different industries. You see, when I approached my networking business I didn’t see this as some ‘small home based business’… this was a career move for me. This was my new chosen profession. Thru the years I’ve been trained by Giants like: Marc Accetta, Dani Johnson, Tony Robinson, Tim Sales, Charles Pilzer, Rich Schefren and more!
I learned from some people who mastered skills in real estate, people who knew marketing, people who knew sales and more! I didn’t stick to just the industry of network marketing.
You might ask why I did that? Well, the reason is because when you build a business like a business you leverage the skill and success of many coaches and many experts. You’ll learn far more than you could by just being coached by one person. The same holds true in many areas of life. Treating my business like a business and getting the training I needed was a huge step for me. It pays off even to this day. Having just got back from a week long event with the infamous Tony Robbins, I learned about business, fitness, the value of our thoughts and so much more.
If you build your business like a business you won’t hate mornings. You won’t hate working and you won’t whine and cry about challenges. You’ll see each step of each day as a process in a journey and you’ll take each step for what it’s worth: a step.
